La Leche League of Lexington
Parents from Lexington and the surrounding area are invited to join La Leche League of Cleveland County Families at their virtual meetings, held twice monthly on the third Thursday in the evening and the first Saturday in the mornings (or the second Saturday, if the first Saturday falls on a holiday weekend). Meetings offer peer-to-peer support for breastfeeding parents. Leaders cover a variety of issues, including surviving the early postpartum weeks, managing milk supply, and coping with latch issues, yeast infections (thrush), mastitis, tongue tie/lip tie, and working and breastfeeding, and much more.
Leaders are parents who breastfed/nursed their own children for a year or more and are trained and accredited by La Leche League International and provide individual support to help mothers overcome many of the early challenges of breastfeeding as well as those that may arise later during the breastfeeding journey. There is no cost to attend the monthly Series Meetings or to contact us for support via email or phone.
For more information about meetings and for Leader contact information, please see the La Leche League of Cleveland County Families page.
