Breastfeeding Support in Edmond & Guthrie
Whether you're expecting your first baby, deep in the newborn haze, or working through a tricky latch with a toddler, you don't have to navigate it alone. Edmond/Guthrie La Leche League offers free monthly Series Meetings where nursing and pumping parents gather for honest conversation and encouragement. We cover the topics that come up again and again in early parenthood — surviving those first exhausting weeks, building and protecting your milk supply, working through latch issues and mastitis, navigating tongue tie, continuing to breastfeed after returning to work, nutrition, and weaning.
Children are always welcome — we ask that you bring a quiet activity for older siblings so everyone can stay comfortable during the meeting. Babies often hang out in laps or on a blanket on the floor. If you're running late because you're wrangling a diaper blowout on your way out the door, don't stress — we understand family life doesn't run on schedule, and you're welcome whenever you can get there.
Our Leaders are trained, accredited volunteer peer-to-peer breastfeeding counselors who have nursed their own babies and are here to listen and help without judgment.
A note on weather: meetings are canceled whenever public schools in Edmond or Guthrie are closed for inclement weather. You can also find cancellation notices on our state's Facebook Events page or by emailing a Leader with our Group directly.
